These days of traveling have taken their toll. I am constantly dealing with logistics. I am constantly figuring out how and where to eat, getting to the next bed, adjusting to other people’s schedules, finding my way around new neighborhoods, learning new systems.
I am grateful for walking, for a commitment to take this time every day to move, to explore with intention, to be present.
On the morning of Day 20, I walked along the Columbia River again, but in a different place than last time, a little further west, putting one foot in front of the other as I have done for many days, an act that I know and that I can do wherever I am.
After the previous day, this was a day to re-center and remember:
Walking brings me home to myself.

I enjoyed walking in that region as well, having lived in Klickitat, Bingen, White Salmon, Mosier, and Hood River for several years about a decade ago. Loved it !! Where are you ?
